Valenzano, Giovanni Maria
B.ca 1760, Asti, d. after 1825, Rome.
A well travelled violin-maker of Italian origin who worked variously in Valencia, Barcelona, Montpellier, Marseille, Nice, Trieste and Rome. He made fine instruments in various styles, some in fairly close imitation of Stradivari and Guarneri models. He also did a great deal of repair work, on some occasions for Paganini himself.
