Nürnberger, Franz Albert Ii
B. 1854, d. 1931, Markneukirchen
Known as Albert and the greatest of the Nurnbergers. In 1880 Albert Nurnberger, having learned his trade from his father set up a workshop on his own account. This workshop produced some of the best bows to come out of Germany, these based on copies of French models, most especially Tourte, Vuillaume and Voirin, although he also made good copies of James Tubbs. His sticks can bear the brand 'Albert Nurnberger'.
